Welcome to the start of your podcasting career! Whether you’re learning for yourself, your business, or to create a podcasting business I think you’ll find this course easy to understand and comprehensive.

0. INTRODUCTION // This is the first video in the I2MP3 series. It’s all about me and how I got to where I am so you can be confident that I know what I’m talking about :)
1. BASICS // This video is the first on your journey to become a podcaster. Learn about the four things you need to think about before you press record. Format, Style, Length and Theme will dictate what your podcast will be and how it will be received.
2. YOUR PODCAST // In this second module in the Idea to MP3 course we’ll talk about the particulars of YOUR podcast. What do you need to think about before you start to record and publish? We’ll go over things like format, your first 10, artwork, and music.
3. GEAR // All the gear you need to start your podcast. From computers to microphones!
4. INTERVIEWS // If your podcast will feature interviews you have to learn how to do them. It’ll take practice but this video will get your started. Learn how research and prep a guest and get the most out of your interviews.
5. SOFTWARE AND EDITING // It’s time to get into some editing! Here is where you really get into podcasting and can create your message.
6. MASTERING AND EXPORTING // We’re almost done! Now that your podcast is edited you just have to exported so you can re-open it for mastering. That’s the final step that will set you apart from all the other podcasts out there. Then, export and release!
EDITING TIPS AND TRICKS!
GARAGEBAND // If you've got an Apple Computer then you have Garageband. It's not bad editing software, even though there are some things it doesn't do. Either way, it's a good start and it's free if you have the right computer. Here's a quick video on editing a podcast from start to finish with Garageband.
AUDACITY // Use this video if you're editing with Audacity. It will show you how to bring in your tracks, edit them, mix in some music and other elements, and show you how to export.
7. DISTRIBUTION // You’re almost there! It’s time to put your podcast out into the world and see how it does. But, there are some things you can do to help it along the way.
8. KEEPING IT GOING // This is it! You’ve got a podcast and now it’s time to learn how to keep it going. The biggest reason podcasts fail is that podcasters forget to schedule time in their busy lives to record, edit, and promote. But not you! Watch this video for SUCCESS!
